I think on that got close was Aika Online and strangely i had a lot of fun on Bless Online 250 hours on steam where i roamed the end level area and the entrance to the best dungeon with my guild and we killed everyone we saw. Still the best mmorpg i played and after Dekaron i played a TON xD, Tera had good open pvp but only until max level then everyone would stay in town and not go outside, BDO put their carebear system way too soon, Rappelz had one at the start that was too strict too, archeage was P2W. I started to do research and found how to become purple and then we killed and we killed man it was a fucking bloody good day. (pvp started at lvl 15 and anyone could kill you) We reached the first open dungeon and we kept killing monster until hidden behind a rock we saw an other player become purple and mercilessly kill an other player, we didn't even know it was possible ahahah. I still remembr it was my second mmo or my first (since it's widely accepted now that Guild Wars 1 wasn't an mmo), i was playing Counter strike source and my friend (we were like 14 and 16) ask me if i want to play a new game and it was Dekaron it just launched in EU.Īnyway we started playing and we reach lvl 30 without getting killed, nobody tried.
The game that got me hooked on open PvP and now i'm fucked for life! Back then we didn't need any reason to PK other people except, "HEY THAT'S MY FARMING SPOT MF" and then the dead guy would be "OH YEAH SEE THE NAME OF MY GUILD? I WILL BE BACK WITH 50 OF US" and then on the guild chan you would call your guild too and bam full GvG for most of the afternoon, nothing would be gain there wasn't any PvP fame or PvP coin it was just i don't like your face i kill you.
If there's any games like it, I hope someone could tell me about it. So what happend to that game? It became completely pay2win after action 7 or something, with all these new costumes and wings which boosted ur stats unbelievably.ĭo u guys remember Deadfront? Back when it was lively and packed to a degree where even the lower levels of deadfront would be packed and if ur class wasnt just right and ur lvl was at the minimum requirements for deadfront that u just be standing there spamming "lfp pls", and be wasting half an hour or so just to not get a party? That was the best moments of my childhood. Pk'ing in heiharp/heihaff, draco desert and crespo in front of the map teleportation spawns was the best thing ever! Just randomly pk someone and run away (if enemy has friends higher lvl nearby), and whenever someone would be on their smurf acc, they'd be like "Just wait here, i'll bring my main here!". Lvling up was hard, and getting those damn lv 102 wings by farming Crespo dungeon day and night and then finally getting the wings was the best feeling ever!
I like the fighting system from Tera and BDO, but man I remember when I was a kid I used to play Dekaron, when 2moons was the NA server, and even tho the graphics in that game wasn't that great and even tho I didnt know what the heck the lore was about, the PVP and PK'ing in that game was the best stuff I had ever tried!īack then in Action 4.5 all the way to Action 6 (basically patch/story progression), that was the prime of the game. I played both FFXIV, ESO and Wow, a bit of tera and black desert online. Hey guys, lately i've been really wanting to get into a mmorpg to settle down.
